Passport Services



Passport applications are processed Monday through Friday. Our office makes every effort to accommodate walk-ins; however, we highly recommend making an appointment to better ensure we are able to process your application. Applying for a Passport Book and/or Passport Card

U.S. PASSPORT BOOK

Passport

Valid for travel by air, sea, or land.

Validity:
10 years for adults (16 & over)
5 years for minors (under 16)

Size: 5″ x 3-1/2″ (when unopened)

Cost for First-Time Applicants:
$130 + separate $35 Execution Fee for adults
$100 + separate $35 Execution Fee for minors

U.S. PASSPORT CARD

U.S. Passport card



Not for travel by air. Valid for land and sea crossings between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean only.

Validity:
10 years for adults (16 & over)
5 years for minors (under 16)

Cost for First-Time Applicants
$30 + separate $35 Execution Fee for adults
$15 + separate $35 Execution Fee for minors

Check or money order is required, made payable to: U.S. Dept. of State (1 check or money order per application) and a separate $35.00 Execution Fee per application made payable to DeKalb County Clerk (we accept cash, check, debit/credit, or money order).

Additional Notes:

  • Both parents must be present for minors under 16 (one parent is required for minors aged 16 & 17)
  • A passport photo + certified birth record/proof of citizenship is required for all applicants
  • Photo ID is required for applicants over the age of 18

Passport Renewals

You may renew your passport by mail on a DS-82 form if you meet the following conditions:

  • Your most recent passport was issued when you were 16 years old or older
  • Your most recent passport was issued within the past 15 years
  • Your most recent passport is not damaged or mutilated
  • You now use the same name as on your most recent passport (or you can properly document that your name has been changed by marriage or court order)
