The County Clerk is the chief election authority administering elections throughout DeKalb County. The DeKalb County Clerk’s Elections Division offers numerous services for Local Election Officials, Candidates, Registered Voters, and the general public, as well as information on how to register to vote in DeKalb County, Illinois. The DeKalb County Clerk’s Office strives to conduct all elections in a fair, accurate, and efficient manner. Even-Numbered Years

  • General Primary: The third Tuesday in March (to Nominate Federal, State, Judicial and County Offices, and Precinct Committeemen)
  • General Election: The first Tuesday after the first Monday in November (to Elect Federal, State, Judicial, and County Offices)

Odd-Numbered Years

  • Consolidated Election: The first Tuesday in April (to Elect Municipal, Township, Park District, Library District, School District, Community College District, Regional Office of Education Trustees, and Fire District Officials)
