Beginning December 1, 2025, the DeKalb County Recorder’s Division will transition to MyDec-only processing for PTAX forms.
All PTAX submissions must be completed through the Illinois Department of Revenue’s MyDec portal:

Paper PTAX forms will no longer be accepted after this date.
MyDec is the State of Illinois’ online system for preparing and submitting real estate transfer tax forms (PTAX forms). It replaces paper forms and allows title companies, attorneys, buyers, and sellers to enter sale information, calculate transfer taxes, and submit everything electronically. The system makes the process faster, more accurate, and easier for everyone involved.
