In accordance with the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act, 5 ILCS 420, many county employees, public officials, and appointees to boards or commissions are required to submit an economic interest filing to the County Clerk & Recorder’s Office. Local government agencies certify a list of individuals who must file a Statement of Economic Interest (SEI) each year with the Clerk’s Office by May 1.

Pursuant to Section 4A-102 (b) of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/1), the dollar amounts for questions 1–3 and 6 of the Statement of Economic Interests were indexed for inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers and rounded to the nearest $100. The calculated period was Jan. 1, 2022 (the effective date of the statutory amendment) through September 2025 and resulted in changes as follows: Questions 1 and 3 changed from $10,000 to $11,600, Queston 2 changed from $7,500 to $8,700 and Question 6 changed from $500 to $600.
